Patricia Nehme, educational advocate and college planning consultant, is founder and director of My College Career Plan (MCCP). Through MCCP, Patricia provides a safe, long-term nurturing environment in which the client is free to explore the optimal educational options that best support one's goals, personality, accomplishments, learning styles and needs. She clears up myths and minimizes the barrage of college admissions information to the very pertinent.

Clients become active participants equipped to make well informed decisions about their future. Special issues and interests, along with current financial aid and scholarship information are included throughtout the process. Using the MCCP design, Patricia meshes together both current and fundamental aspects of career exploration and the college admissions components while emphasizing FIT and BEST MATCHED post-secondary options.

As an independent consultant, Patricia attends numerous college related conferences and trainings each year meeting with admissions counselors across the nation. She tours college campuses on a regular basis – visiting a variety of post-secondary institutions, from national universities, to small, private liberal arts colleges, professional schools, career colleges, community and two year colleges, and special programs such as GAP Year, academic support, Co-Op, 3-2 options, residential colleges, 1st year programs, consortia, etc.

Prior to launching a private practice, Patricia worked in non-profit management primarily centered on youth-related initiatives and crisis intervention. She received a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies, with a focus on educational and at-risk youth issues. Patricia also served as a school librarian in North Dallas, where she emphasized the application of research skills.

Patricia is part of a global network of independent counselors, drawing on colleagues for expertise, ideas and queries. When not with clients, Patricia spends 100% of her time centered on college admissions and college access trends; keeping current on changes in the college arena; and visiting a variety of college campuses across the country.
